This was a revisit to a previous hairstyle I made for the Akuba's Salon mod. This new version features a better texture set made with Zbrush fibermesh and xNormal, and a whopping 42 dreadlocks which each simulate individually. I feel the result is far more awesome and believable than the previous attempts and hope those that use it in-game can appreciate the work that went into it. Each dreadlock uses a set of cards to show fuzz and fly-aways, and the scalp texture is a collection of cards placed on the head. This is the latest hairstyle added to the mod.
As this hair goes beyond typical APEX limits, it needed additional programming to display all 42 dreadlocks seamlessly, and further programming to allow the hair to have water physics when diving.
This entire project is authored by myself, from scratch, the same as the rest of my portfolio.
Players can access the hair through character customization and it is available to both genders in the game.
